For frequent heartburn (two or more times a week) or acid reflux due to gastro-oesophageal reflux
Dosage form: Enteric coated Tablet Quantity: 14 tablets Active ingredient: Esomeprazole (as magnesium dihydrate) 20 mg
Carefully read the Consumer Medicine Information prior to use. Keep to recommended dose. Adults 18 years of age and over: Take 1 tablet daily, for at least 7 days and up to 14 days. Swallow the tablet whole with water, with or without food. Do not crush or chew the tablet. Not intended for immediate relief. It may take a few days to achieve maximum results. Do not take beyond 14 days without consulting your doctor. If symptoms persist or worsen, stop use and see your doctor.
Do not use: in children under 18 years of age; if allergic to esomeprazole or any other proton pump inhibitor (omeprazole, rabeprazole, lansoprazole, pantoprazole); if you are breastfeeding or intend to breastfeed; if you are taking antiretroviral medicinesm such as atazanavir; if you are taking cilostazol, a medicine used to treat pain and/or cramping in the lower leg or arms due to inadequate blood flow to the muscles. Ask your pharmacist or doctor before use if you: are pregnant or intend to become pregnant; have serious liver disease; are taking other medication regularly. CAUTION - Trust Nexcid is for the relief of temporary and minor ailments and should be used strictly as directed. If symptoms persist or recur within 2 weeks of completing course, consult your doctor. Tell your pharmacist or doctor if you do not feel well while you are taking Trust Nexcid. If an overdose is taken or suspected, telephone your doctor or the Poisons Information Centre (Australia 13 11 26) or go to the Accident and Emergency department at your nearest hospital.
