Pharmacist Advice Medication
This group of medication can normally be purchased over the counter, but NSW
regulations state that a pharmacist must personally hand the product to the customer.
For this reason we require a prescription to supply these products to you by mail.
|
|
Ordering Prescriptions
To order prescription medication we need your Original prescription (including
the duplicate) mailed to us (faxes can not be accepted. These are government regulations.)
We are able to keep your repeats on file to make it easier for you on your next
order, simply check the appropriate box on our order form.
Please Note: For pbs prescription items subsidised by the federal government( $30.70 & $4.90 ones) which we cannot discount, your order is postage free within Australia only. The web site will charge postage and where applicable it will then be refunded by the dispensary staff.
Some special conditions apply to prescriptions so read below.

Medicare Numbers
New government regulations
require you to provide your full Medicare number and
Medicare expiry date every time you request your prescription, if that prescription
is entitled to a PBS benefit. You do not need to provide your Medicare number for private
prescriptions.
When necessary, please write the patient's name as it appears on the Medicare
card and include the Medicare number in front of the patient's name.
See Example of medicare card.

PBS & Authority Prescriptions
Items on the Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS) are $30.70 and $4.90 on concession.
PBS prices are only available to customers with a Medicare Card. Some items which are subsidised
by the PBS to treat special conditions require an AUTHORITY prescription.
These items are marked with an 'A' and require an authority to be on PBS. If you do not qualify
for an authority script your doctor may write a private prescription and this is the price quoted in the
catalogue and website.

Multiple Quantities for Items on the PBS
We cannot supply multiple quantities of PBS items ($30.70 or $4.90) unless
certain other conditions apply. EG. a marked Regulation 24 or an Authority.
If you want multiple quantities for a special reason (eg. going overseas) please
indicate this in the "comments field" and we will deal with this on a case
by case basis.

Health Care and Pension Card Holders
NSW government regulations require you to provide a concession number
and the expiry date of your card every time you request your prescription.
This applies to each person on each order. If this is not done we will have to contact
you before we dispense the script.
We guarantee that you will pay no more than $4.90 for you PBS medication
when we supply you with the brands that we recommend. When your
order contains items that are on the PBS that we cannot discount, i.e. the $4.90
or $30.70 ones, then your order is postage free within Australia only.

Receipts and PFR Stickers
Receipts for private health funds are sent with all orders. PRF stickers are
sent when appropriate.
PBS regulations do not allow us to issue PRF stickers for
multiple quantities.
In a situation where the item attracts a government subsidy
and we discount below the government price then we are required to dispense
a private prescription.
The safety net total of all your prescriptions is
available at any time.
